BASIS OF LOVE AND JUSTICE
The Love and Justice base is located at Rua São Luiz Gonzaga, number 1115, São Cristóvão neighborhood, between the Tuiuti and Mangueira hills. Our operations are carried out in the Jesus House of Prayer congregation
(Beit Tefilah Yeshua – BTY).
For 11 years, we have served the residents of the Tuiuti and Mangueira communities, helping with basic food, education and sports. These people are vulnerable to violence (domestic and sexual) and parental abandonment (due to the use of drugs), which consequently causes their children to be exposed to the hostile environment of the streets due to drug trafficking in the region.
These children/adolescents who grow up in the midst of drug trafficking have criminals as an example of their lives, straying from school and, unfortunately, exchanging books for rifles or radios (known as little planes, because they warn the police of entering the community).
That's why we work 24 hours a day with the aim of changing the reality of our young people and homeless people in this community that is so needy and in need of Love and Justice.

LIVING MONDAYS
We provide breakfast, lunch, showers, motivational work, professional guidance and spiritual support (for those who request it).
LIVING WEDNESDAYS
We visit the streets to listen, talk, bring food and invite people to the work we do at the base. Target audience: homeless people.

Sport ATTRACTS young people, providing a way to unite the community.
Education EMPOWERS people to improve their lives, developing skills and increasing knowledge.
The gospel TRANSFORMS lives, sharing love, hope and grace, aiming for spiritual strengthening.
We work focused on directing those who want a new opportunity to enter the job market into entrepreneurship. To do this, we use a digital vocational education platform, in addition to providing basic food and dignity.
We care for children who mostly come from the Tuiuti community and have the Base of Love and Justice as a refuge and a place of peace where they feel embraced like a true family.
SECOND CHANCE
BRAZIL's educational system is in true chaos and in the social area, the number of unemployed people grows every day. Heads of families are unable to take basic food to their homes, which leads to cases of violence in the city.
In response, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we set up computer rooms with literacy programs, preparation for competitions and professional courses. Through professional software, new computers connected to a network, our young people and adults study in an environment of order and peace, whilst providing food and sustenance to these families.
Most of the children and adults we assist do not have access to the internet and are extremely behind in school. To give an example, in our base, we receive children who should be able to read for at least 4 years.
Today we have 35 children and adults who have started to believe. Fathers and mothers accompany us and see that their children no longer need to repeat their stories of early pregnancy, involvement in drug trafficking, prisons, involvement with drugs, depression, violence, etc.
In this way, we believe that teaching generates freedom from the slavery caused by the system in which they are inserted and we observed a significant improvement in personal growth during this period of work. A complete process of transforming an individual's life in their personal formation and reform.
